The Institute of Work Psychology offers the well established MSc in Occupational Psychology, which attracts a wide range of students from the UK and abroad who are interested in achieving a career in fields such as business consultancy, human resource management or organisational research. Research degrees of MPhil and PhD are offered to graduates in Psychology and Management and from graduates whose initial training has been in other relevant disciplines.

Research

The aim of the Institute´s research programme is to combine scientific quality with practical relevance. In scientific terms the emphasis is on developing and testing theory about the effects of work on employee well-being and performance, and doing so using rigorous quantitative and qualitative methods, with particular emphasis being placed on the use of longitudinal and change studies.
